I'm so out of it that I don't even know who Tori is, or if she is French, American or English. I'm still listening to Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion. I know, I'm old fashioned.

And here I would have flown in to have joined you :)

At least the thought is really appealing.

Hey Linda, no worries! There's so much good music out there these days (as well as a lot of junk) that it's virtually impossible to keep up with it all. I've been a Tori fan since she started singing in the early '90s, and although she's been around for a while, she's not as mainstream as a number of other artists. But she does have a huge fan following, as her concerts can attest to...

But I'm embarrassed to say that this is my first time going to one of her live performances, so that's why I'm so excited about it!

And DestinationMetz, I agree with you that Spark is an excellent choice, but I actually have so many favorites it's hard for me to decide! But if I look at my "Tout Tori" playlist there are probably more From the Choirgirl Hotel songs than any others, so that's definitely one of my favorite Tori albums (along with Little Earthquakes, of course!).

But then again, I can't claim to be a hard-core fan: I don't check out her website all that often, and I actually got away from her music for a few years. Just finding my way back now...

Doc, I'm sorry you can't join us this time around -- you appear to be otherwise occupied, no? ;) We'll be thinking of you and sending you good Tori vibes!

And Scribbit, you're welcome to come visit anytime! Would have loved for you to join us.

Sounds like fun! I hear she is really great live. I've loved her since the early 90s too, I think I listened to nothing but Under The Pink for the whole summer of 1994. Have a good time at the concert!

Ohhhhhh noooooo! I mean how fun for you girls! But how bummed am I not to have checked your blog earlier?

As a long-time rabid Tori fan, I am now madly trying to get a group together to catch the concert. Her latest album is just fantastic and sounds like music that Tori can and will perform the hell out of.

Enjoy the concert! And maybe I'll see you there!

After getting a better listen to her latest offering this weekend, I think I've decided that Clyde is my favorite "character", as I love her songs the best! (especially Bouncing off Clouds, Girl Disappearing, Beauty of Speed) I also love Body and Soul.

Oh Aralena, I wish I had known you wanted to go too! It would have been the perfect opportunity to meet for the first time, too -- hopefully we'll get another chance sometime soon.
