My Little Bean blossomed into a beautiful flower!
Thank you to all for your wonderful comments and congratulations. I should really be in bed, but I just wanted to post this very quickly.
Hope to catch up with everyone soon... Emma is beautiful and healthy, and I'm doing my best with juggling the new mom gig at home.
More than anything, I now know what it feels like to have my heart explode with so much love.

Sis, I am still overwhelmed! She is enchanting. September cannot come any sooner! I can't wait to hold her and spoil her! We love you! Oh, and while you're resting, make me a list of things to fill my carry-on bag with for you and Emma! :-)
She really is beautiful, Alice. Love to all three of you!
What a beaut! Felicitations Alice!!! Good luck adjusting in these early days, take your time and get your rest. And then as soon as you can, pictures and updates and pictures and updates!!!
No, seriously, take it easy and enjoy your Emma-time.

Awww!!! She's so beautiful!
What a little angel :) Congrats!
Ah ya see! Not pregnant is so much better than pregnant! And you get the best prize in the world!
Totally gorgeous!
Thanks so much to everyone for all your kind words. The delivery was in fact pretty rough -- 16 hours, with epidural (yes, I wimped out!), an episiotomy and unfortunately they had to use forceps in the end... I will try to write about it when I can get my head better around things. For now, Emma is doing well, she is beautiful and just seems to get more & more beautiful, and that is the most important thing! I'm working on recovering, but my stitches haven't been healing so well, so I've had to get extra "soins" at home.
Oh, and her full name is Emma Brigitte Sarah -- after both her grandmoms. J's mom was Brigitte -- I so wish she were here today to see our treasure; I know how special it would have been for her.
Fred, I'm sorry we haven't been able to catch up by phone yet; Mom & I have had some good conversations and I'm looking forward to sharing lots with you as well. And I can't WAIT to introduce you to Emma in September! Mom told me last night that you did get the Flickr link and have seen the photos there, because I was going to send you another e-mail, but hopefully you're all set!
Emma is as lovely and beautiful as her name! Félicitations encore... can't wait to meet her in person one of these days soon! Georges sends his congrats as well. Bises to all!
Awww. There we get to see her! She's beautiful. I can't wait to see her in person! Soon?
What a beautiful little treasure! Congratulations!!
Just beautiful! Congratulations once again. Sorry to hear the birth was a little hard going, but hopefully you'll be on the mend in no time!
What a gorgeous baby. Congrats Alice! The birth sounded hard, though. Take care of yourself.
